"I thoroughly enjoyed the retreat. I loved the combination of camping, recreation activities, no cooking, and the structured Heart Drum Beat activities. Lovely group of people, I hope to keep in contact with some of them. I had wanted to go to the Outdoor Ed Centre ever since my kids came back vibrating about how much fun they had had, so this was an opportunity not to be missed! Thanks, Arrow, for a wonderful weekend."The Tao of Hornby Island Retreat - 2016

"It was wonderful. The venue was great and the view awesome. I felt quite calm & relaxed the whole time. Your demeanor keeps people feeling this way and it helps everyone build and work together as well as play together. People were very kind and helpful to me. "The retreat was wonderful! I was feeling anxiety while coming to the retreat on Friday. Part of it was my inexperience at allowing time to relax. I have a habit of keeping busy. Much of my life is more solitary so I was also anxious about being comfortable in a group. The group participation and support just got better leading up to the “Leap of Faith” which was highly supportive. Simply stated, the retreat has further encouraged me to “grow my soul” and be myself.I was relieved to be accepted as part of the group early on Friday afternoon. From then on I found I could relax and focus more inwardly. A big part of my personal development right now is to simply be myself. A big part of that is “acceptance” in a community of people. Much of my personal strength is drawn from pleasure found in the natural environment. It was wonderful to be in a setting surrounded by nature. The group message was wonderful on a personal level as well as for community building. Please do that again. "Wonderful! Better than expected as I loved every single moment & it’s rare that each activity can be so equally satisfying! I thought the balance of “fun” activities with “instruction sessions” was perfect as everything felt experiential, complimentary & kept the energy flowing. I think it was a perfect “intro” to the energy healing work for those who are still considering if it is for them. I feel more confident in the practice all the time & can feel the benefits more & more. Seeing others learning things about the practice for the first time makes me realize how far I’ve come. I also learned that I am infinitely grateful for my life."The Tao of Hornby Island Retreat - 2016

"It was serendipitous how I came to be a part of it and I feel blessed and grateful to have had such a profound experience which came at the perfect time for me. I reconnected with myself on many levels and once again confirmed how important it is for me to get into my body in order to connect with my power and release the hold that thoughts can have. It was the perfect balance of realigning energy work with outdoor activities and overwhelmingly stunning nature, all interlinked and a wonderful intro to Tao which I have known about but not worked with this closelybefore. I felt very connected with it and it resonated with me. I’m happy I can take practices learned this weekend and incorporate them into my daily life. Having Spirit the dog there was also something new for me which was a beautiful experience where I felt a true connection with the Natives and the land they held so sacred. It was truly profound to connect with the Earth on that level. I loved it and thought it had a perfect balance and flow. Thank you so much for this inspiring weekend."The Tao of Hornby Island Retreat - 2016

"Wonderful retreat!  This time has expanded my awareness of how my current daily physical practice can now be further developed.  I have been shedding off at a physical level, but now want to shed off thoughts (expectations that I feel I need to live up to) and fears that I know are holding me back from being creative and simply experiencing moments of joy every day.  The retreat gave me strength of spirit to know that I am not alone in my desire to grow.  My highlights were, the food, group chanting on Sunday evening, experiencing and learning about the healing process and enjoying a period of time immersed in nature with like minded people."

"This teaching is life changing.  It is about the human’s soul.  I am feeling The Tao is a direct communication to the universe.  Truth is found in the practice.  I will continue to use the tools taught to me:
  1. Music – to release blocked energy
  2. Plan – of incorporating the movements/Tao into daily routine
  3. This will create balance and harmony in unity with calm and abiding meditation
We have all the tools needed to make the choice.  Thank you"

"My main awakening from this retreat is that now I understand divinity is in my brain, always with me, and who I really am.  It is also what connects all of us.  It also removes fear and doubt.  I will continue this practice with daily meditation to be in touch with my divine energy.  Thank you Arrow.  I know your path is a large percent coming from your vision.  I loved the physical exercise and kigong, chanting especially.  I would like to do more chanting and feel my voice again.  Thank you for your guidance and help."
